I can’t help but smile when I think of Pete, it’s always been the same since I first met him some 35 years ago! Funny, kind, always a kidder and he gave the best hugs in the world! You were enveloped in a big, long lasting bear hug, it was just lovely and very ‘Pete’ to me. As an 11 year old joining a new family he always made me feel so welcome and I loved him dearly. He shared many of my own children’s milestones with us, baptisms, birthdays and always was up for joining in the fun including being a face painting model and much more besides. I feel we are all blessed to have had Pete in our lives, a humble yet characterful man, kind, generous and simply lovely. Rest in peace Pete, until we all meet again.
